What Makes a Person a Leader?

1. They don’t constrict other members of the group.

2. They consider each member of a group as a partner rather than a subordinate.

3. An effective leader can spot (and acknowledge, rather than jealously denigrate) others’ abilities.

4. Said leader not only celebrates abilities of others, but also allow individuals and their abilities flourish in what they excel at.

5. Leaders make other people better.

Jonah Berger?

Has anyone read the book contagious: Why Things Catch On? Berger argues that advertising does not lure people as much as the importance we place on what our peers think or value. I wonder if that’s true. Are we inseparable from culture’s milieu? Are our values and what we think is “cool” or a “must have” largely informed by society? Can we told autonomous opinions and values?

Does John Berger’s Contagious answer these questions? Ae these the right questions to ask about phenomenon that catches public attention (and subsequently make them want to have things others do even if they really don’t want or need them?).

Writing Articles Is Not Daunting

Unless you’re lazy and presuppose that the ideas you have floating in your mind should magically flow onto screen or paper. Writing demands work, attention, and blood of a baby unicorn  extracted during a blue moon. Once that is accepted and expected, it’s easier to move on to the actual writing part rather than sitting and fuming or procrastinating.

Writing an article is really easy and simple. Take whatever is floating in your brain and write it down. it might be terrible crap, but hey you’ve started! And that’s the hardest part.

See, this article may be poorly written. But it’s written.
